Config. Stat
To configure WIM, click
the Co nfig .Stat bu tton.
Th is brings up th e WI M
conf igur atio n utility.
Select a pro- file from
the options and click
Edit Profile , Personaliz e
to mod - ify the profile
set- tings. Alter n at ively,
click General to m od- ify
the gene ral setup.
When you edit a profile, all th e options and settings rele- vant to
the profile are displayed and are available for mo dification . For
instan ce, if you select the GSM-GPRS option, you can
configure th e GSM calling settings such
as the default SIM, SOS nu mbers, call waitin g op tion s and
GPRS c onfi guration parameters such as a c cess point nam e and
IP ad dress. These op tion s have been
described under “Configu rin g th e settings” on page 44.
Browsing the Internet from the PC
You can use the PWG-500 to browse the Intern et o r
check e-mails using a Wi-Fi net w or k o r a GPRS net w or k.
If Wi-Fi has been enabl e d and a wireless hotspot is avail- able
in the vicinity, then Internet connectivity is auto- matically
ach ieved th ro ugh th e Wi-Fi network. If Wi- F i is unavailable,
GPRS is automatically selected for Internet connectiv ity.
