7. C ONFIGURING THE SETTINGS
Th e settings menu provides a numb e r of options to con - figure
the PWG-5 00, its m ode of op eration, network set- tings, and
preferences. Read this section carefully to
learn ho w to co nfig ure your ph one.
General settings
Th e general setting s provide op tio n s to custom ize the
PWG-500 according to your preferences.
Outgoing calls
Press Menu/Select and select Settings , General , Outgo- ing
Call to specify the if you w a nt to use GSM o r V o I P for
making calls. See “Selecting the call type” on
page 25.
Language
Use the l a nguag e setting to specify th e inte rface lan- guage.
Press Menu/Select and sel ect Settings , Ge ner a l , Language .
Select the l a nguag e of your ch oice fro m these op tion s: Eng lish,
Span ish , German, and Chin ese.
Power saving mode
Th e pow er saving mod e prevents excess use o f po wer. Press
Menu/Select and then selec t Settings , Gene ra l , Power Saving ,
and On to enable power saving mode.
Note : P o we r saving mode is only enab led whe n Wi-Fi mod e is
disabled .
