6. S ETTING TONES
The PWG- 500 has a set of profiles, ea ch customiz ed for
different
scenarios of usage . For example, you can use the
Silent profi l e when in a movie theatre, the Meeting profile wh ile
attendi ng bu siness meeti ngs, o r the Out- door profile when
travelling outdoors or in a noisy e n vi- ronm ent. You can also
person alize each profile and change the tone settings to suit
your pre f erences.
Selecting a profile
To select a profile, do the follo wing:
1. Pr ess Menu/ Selec t and select Tones . A list of the
profiles is displayed.
2. Sele ct the profile you want to use and press Men u /
Sele ct .
3. Sele ct the Activate option and p r ess Menu/ Sele ct
to set th e prof ile fo r the PWG-50 0.
Personalizing a profile
Each profile has a sp ecific ring tone , ring volume, and alert
tone . You can cu stomize your profile and chan ge the
various sound tones accord ing to your preferences as
follows:
1. Pr ess Menu/ Selec t and select Tones to display a list
of profiles.
2. Sele ct the profile that you want to mo dify and press
Menu /Select .
3. Sele ct Personaliz e and press Menu/Select to
change the profile . The follo wing options can be
change d wh en personali zing:
– Ring tone: ch ange the ringing tone that alerts
you when you receive a n incoming call.
– Ring v o lu me: adju st the ring tone volume.
