First, go to page 2 of 2 in the menu settings by
moving the jog dial left or right. Select “Condition”
Press the plus or minus buttons to turn the
condition on.
Condition: Commonly used in Oval Racing
Example: When setting the normal dual rate steering, say 60% at left and right. By pressing or holding a switch you can activate
a 2nd condition where you can have more steering, say 100% in case you get into a complicated situation. By tapping or holding
this switch, it will override the normal conditions until the switch is either released or pressed again to switch back.
Select either “Copy 1st to 2nd” or 2nd to 1st” this will depend on what
condition you prefer to activate. In this case, we will select “Copy 1st to
2nd” Use the jog dial to highlight “Copy 1st to 2nd” Press jog dial and you
will get a “Are you Sure?” question. Select “Yes” and press the jog dial.
Press the “End’ button to go to the home page.
Programming Dual Rates (Normal Condition to 2nd Condition)
While setting up the condition you will need to program each model separately.
The conditions don’t transfer from model to model.
Switch Select
Move your cursor or jog dial to “SW Select” Press the jog dial and it will take you to a list
of PS 1-5 and a TS switches.
To determine where the switches or dials are on the transmitter, please refer to the 4PX
manual on page 15. Any digital trim or push button can be assigned to the Dual Rate
2nd Condition.
Using the jog dial, scroll up or down to “PS5”. We will use this switch for the 2nd
condition. Press the jog dial and scroll down to “Condition 2” and press the jog dial.
This will show the PS5 switch is now connected to the 2nd condition. By moving
the cursor to the right, you can select if you want the 2nd condition to be normal or
reversed. In this case, we will leave in the normal condition. Under “Type”, you can
select to have PS5 when pressed to act as a normal on/off switch or alternative switch
where when PS5 is pressed to go to the 2nd condition it will stay in the 2nd condition till
the PS5 is pressed again to go back to the normal condition.
