3.2 Installation of Remote Display
Mounting considerations
The remote display can be installed on a desktop, on the overhead, or flush mounted in a panel.
When you select a mounting location, keep in mind the following points:
• The nominal viewing distance for the display unit is 2.0 m. Select a suitable mounting location
considering that distance.
• Locate the unit away from exhaust pipes and vents.
• Locate the unit out of direct sunlight.
• Select an installation location that is well ventilated.
• Mount the unit where shock and vibration are minimal.
• Locate the unit away from equipment which generates the electromagnetic fields like a motor
or generator.
• Allow enough maintenance space at the sides and rear of the unit. Leave enough slack in ca-
bles to facilitate maintenance and servicing.
• Observe the compass safe distances (see page ii) to prevent interference to a magnetic com-
pass.
