Important
When switching banks of capacitors make sure that you adhere to the spec-
ified minimum inductance between the capacitors connected in parallel.
3RT10. capacitor
switching capacity
The normal 3RT10 contactors for switching motors also have a certain
capacitor switching capacity. Details of this can be found in
Section 3.7, Technical specifications: Utilization category AC-6b, switching of
individual capacitors and switching of low-inductance three-phase capaci-
tors. The tables contain information on the switching of individual capacitors
and the switching of banks of capacitors.
Operation Caution
Only switch to discharged capacitors! Do not carry out a function test by
hand.
The precharging resistors must not be removed as this will damage the con-
tact pieces in circuits with a load.
