Update via
Selecting the automatic update process.
Check new firmware
•
At the »Power ON« setting, a search is conducted for new firmware when the phone is switched on. At the setting
»Scheduling«, a search is conducted for new firmware based on the programmed time schedule.
Scheduling (Date)
•
Inputting the duration (number of days) during which a search is conducted for new firmware.
Scheduling (Time)
•
Inputting the period during which a search is conducted for new firmware. The search will then be performed at any
time during this period.
Automatic Update
•
At the »Notify only« setting, the user is notified of available new firmware by a message on screen. No automatic up
-
date is conducted however. At the »Automatic« setting, the firmware will be updated fully automatically.
Firmware File Prefix
•
Normally, this is also the product name. A specific search is made for firmware with a similar product name.
Next update time
•
The time for the next search for firmware and updating.
Programming an auto update file:
•
The file name must consist of the »Firmware File Prefix« + _ver.dat; here in our example PHONE_ver.dat

The following information must be contained in the file (example):

Version: 0609100, Name: PHONE_
•
‘0609100« is the designation for the updated firmware; »PHONE_« is the product designation (Firmware File
Prefix).
The system reads the PHONE_ver.dat file and then checks the version number. If the version number is more recent, updating is then per

formed fully automatically. It must also be noted that the designation + the version should also be contained in the file name; in the example
shown here PHONE_0609100.gz. Ensure that the file name is spelled correctly.

tomatic updates.
Standard Configuration (Default Setting)
You can restore the standard factory settings for your phone with Default Setting. To do this, just click the button Restore. Your phone will
then carry out a restart using the standard factory settings.
