Network
Network Status
By using the »Network Status« menu item you can check the current status of the WAN and LAN settings.
WAN Settings
This page lets you configure the network setup of the WAN port on the phone.
LAN Mode
If LAN Mode is set to »Bridge« both Ethernet ports are physically interconnected in a fully transparent fashion. You
need this option if the phone is interconnected with an external NAT router.
If LAN Mode is set to »NAT«, the integrated NAT is activated. This setting is useful for ADSL users who don’t have
access to a NAT router.
IP Type
Fixed IP:
Sets a fixed IP address for the WAN port.
DHCP Client:
The IP address the phone has obtained from an upstream router or cable modem is shown.
PPPoE
Under «PPPoE Setting« you enter the »User Name« and »Password« given to you by your provider. In this mode the
phone gets the IP address and the appropriate subnet mask from the DHCP server of your provider. Entries for the
DNS server must be made manually. You may also enter a virtual MAC address if you have obtained one from your
provider.
Confirm your entries by clicking the »Submit« button.
