SIM card
A SIM Card (Subscriber Identity Module) is a chip card wh ich is inserted in a m obile telephone or
notebook to enable access to a mobile radio netwo rk in conjunction with an installed UMTS module.
Follow the instructions supplied by the provider of the SIM card.
The SIM card slot is located in the battery compartment and can only
be accessed when the battery is removed.
Inserting the SIM card
Prepare for insertion of the SIM card, see chapter "P r eparing to remove components", Page 90.
If necessary, open the clip (a) of the S IM card.

Slide the SIM card into the slot (1)
until it engages, as shown in the
battery compartment.
Slide the SIM card lock (a) in the
direction of the a rrow (2).
Complete the insertion, see chapter "
Finishin g component removal", Pa ge 96.
Removing a SIM card
Prepare for removal
of the SIM card, see chapter "
Preparing t o remove compone nts", Page 90.

Slide the SIM card lock (a) in the
direction of the a rrow (1).
Press on the edge of t
he SIM card so that
it jumps up slightly
out of the slot.
Pull the SIM card out o f the slot in the
direction of the a rrow (2).
Complete the removal, see chapte r "
Finishin g component removal", Page 96.
