Connecting e xtern a l devices
Connecting US B devices (Tabl et PC or
multifunctional c radle)
USBports
Do not connect any external devices to the micro USB port, t his port is
only used for the power supply for the Tablet PC.
On the USB ports, you can connect external devices that also have a USB port
(e.g. a DVD drive, a printer, a scanner or a modem).
USB devices are hot-pluggable. This means you can connect and disconnect
devices while y our operating system is running.
USB 1.x has a maximum data transfer rate of 12 Mbit/s.
USB 2.0 has a data transfer rate of up to 480 Mbit/s.
USB 3.0 has a data transfer rate of up to 5 Gbit/s.

external device.
► Connect the data cable to a USB
port of the Tablet PC.

of the multifunctional cradle.
Device drivers
USB devices will be automatically recognised and installed by y our operating system.
How to remove USB devices correctly
Always c
orrectly remove the device according to the rules described below,
to ensu
re that none of your data is lost.
► Tap the symbol for safe removal of the hardware.
► Sele
ct the device which you want to shut down and remove.
► Ta p OK.
Wait
for the dialogue bo x which tells you that it is now safe to remove the device.
