Troubleshooting and tips
Display screen is blank or difficult to read
Cause Troubleshooting
► Press the Fn button twice to open the Fujitsu
Menu.
Brightness set too low.
This menu contains the tab for changing the brightness.
Power saving has been activated
(monitor is blank).
► Tap on the display screen to reactivate the display.
Note that this is a normal power-saving feature.
The cursor does not correctly follow the pen movements
Cause Troubleshooting
Windows XP: Pin incorrectly calibrated
► Calibrate the pen under Tablet and Pen Settings in the
Control Panel, see "
Calibrating the pen".
Windows Vista:
► Calibrate the pen under Mobile PC - Tablet PC
Settings in the Control Panel, see "
Calibrating the
pen
".
► Check whether the battery is installed correctly in its
compartment.
► Switch the notebook on.
Infrared data transfer is not working
Cause Troubleshooting
No visual contact between Tablet PC
and infrared receiver.
► Ensure visual contact between Tablet PC and
infrared receiver.
Distance between Tablet PC and
infrared receiver > 1 m.
► Reduce the distance between the Tablet PC and the
infrared receiver.
The infrared receiver on the Tablet
PC is not in the effective field (approx.
30° horizontal and approx. 15°
vertical) of the infrared interface on
the other device.
► Check the effective field.
The other device does not comply
with the IrDA standard, revision 1.1 or
1.0.
► Only use devices that comply with the IrDA
standard, revision 1.1 or 1.0.
