Connecting external devices
Under all circumstance s, please observe the safety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Page 12 chapter before co nnecting o r disconnecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC.
Always read the documentation s upplied with the device you wish to connect.
Never connect o r disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. Always gra sp the plug.
With so me devices, such as USB devices, it is not necessary to switch off
the Tablet PC and the device before connecting/discon necting. For more
information about whether or not devices need to b e switched off, please refer
to the documentation supplied with the extern al device.
Some of the external devices require special drivers (see the operating
system and external device documenta tion).
Connecting an external monitor
Information on screen resolution can be found in the section "Screen resolutions
for integrated screen and external scre ens", Page 79.
Mini DisplayPort
DisplayPort
The mini Disp
layPort of the Tablet PC can be used to connect a monitor, LCD
TV or a plasma
TV with a corresponding port.
Connect the
data cable to the
external de
vice.
Connect the data cable to the mini
DisplayPort of the Tablet PC.
Some LCD televisions have only two loudsp eaker connections and therefore
cannot reproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. In order to reproduce the sound, you
must go into Windows and adjust the sound settings.

this, deactivate the DTS Audio and Dolb y Digit al settings in the control
pan
el for the Realte k HDM I Output.
