Touch screen
Tou chs cr ee nNotes
Information on screen resolution can be found in the section "Screen resolutions
for integrated screen and external scre ens", Page 79.
High-qualit
y LCD screens (TFT) are installed in Fujitsu Tablet PCs. For tech nical reasons,
these scree
ns are manufactured for a c ertain resolution. An optimum and sharp image can
only be ensu
red with the resolution intended for th e particular screen. A screen resolution
which diff
ers from the speci cation can r esu lt in an unclear image.
The screen
resolution of your Tablet PC’s touchscreen is optimally set at the factory.
With the p
resent standa rds of production technology, absolutely awless screen images
cannot be
guaranteed. There may be a few constantly light or dark pixels (picture
elements
) on the screen . The maximum permitted number of such faulty pixels is
specie
d in the international standard ISO 9241-307 (Class II).
Exampl
e:
A scree
n with an HD resolution of 1280 x 1024 has 1310720 pixels. Each pixel consists of three
subpix
els (red, gree n and blue), making a total of about 3.9 million subpixels. According to ISO
9241-
307 (class II), a maximum of 3 light and 3 dark pixels and in addition 7 light or 13 da rk subpixels
or an e
quivalent mix (1 light subpixel counts as 2 dark subpixels) are allowed to be defective.
