Restoring the contents of the hard d isk
under Windows
Restoring the system under Windows 8/8.1
If necessary, yo u can reset your system to the original state of the hard disk.
► Starting from the right side of the W indows start screen or the desktop, wipe over
thescreenwithafinger to open t he charm with the system co mmands, or press
the Windows key + the
C
key on an external keyboard.
► Select Change PC Settings.
► Select Update/Recove ry.
► Select Recovery.
► C hoose between th e following options a ccord ing to your requirements: Refresh your PC
without affecting your files or R emove ev erything and reinstall Windows.
Restore factory settings and reinstall the operating system
with the Hard Disk Based Recovery (HDBR) under Windows 7
► Sw itch the device on.
► W hile the Fujitsu start screen is being shown, hold the
F8
button pressed
until the Advanced Boot Options menu is displayed.
► Select Repair your computer.
► Select the desired keyboard input method via Keyboard input method,e.g.English.
► Select the c orrect user, enter the current user password and confirm with OK.
► Select Fujitsu Recovery.
► F ollow the instructions to reset the system to the factory settings.
