Connecting e xternal devices
HDMI port (keyboard dock only)
HDMIport
The HDMI po rt can be used to connect an external amplifi er, LCD TV or a
plasma TV w ith an HDMI connection.
► Con nect the data cable to the
external device.
► Con nect the data cable to the HDMI port.
Some LCD televisions have only two loudspeaker ports and therefore
cannot reproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. To play back H DMI sound, you
must change the HDMI sound settings accordingly.
You can find the settings under Control P anel - Hardware and Sound. Deactivate the
settings for DT S Audio and Dolby Digital to enable playback of HDMI sound.
DisplayPort (multifunctio nal cradle only)
DisplayPort
The DisplayPort of the multifunctional cradle can be used to connect a monitor,
LCD T V or a plasma TV with an corresponding port.
► Con nect the data cable to the
external device.
► Con nect the data cable to the DisplayPort
of the cradle.
Some LCD
televisions have only two loudspeaker connections and therefore
cannot r
eproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. In order to reproduce the sound, you
must go i
nto Windows an d adjust the sound settings.
► To do this, deactivate the DTS Audio and Dolby Digital settings in the control
panel for th e Realtek HDMI Output.
