Using the Security Lock

You r device comes with a Security Lock mechanism for the Kensington Lock Cable. With
the Kensington Lock Cable, a sturdy steel cable, you can protect your device and your Port
Replicator from theft. The Kensington Lock Cable is available as an accessory.
► Fit the Kensington Lock Cable to the
corresponding device on your equipment.
Attach another Kensington Lock Cable to your cradle to protect this from theft as well.
Configuring pass
word protection in BIOS Setup Utility
Before using the various options for password pro tection in the BIOS Setup utility
to increase data security, please observe the following:
Make a note of the passwords and keep th em in a safe place. If you forget your
supervisor password you will not be able to access your Tablet PC. Deletion of the
password is not covered by y our warranty and a charge will be made for assistance.
Password protection
Your password can be up to 32 characters long and can contain
letters, numbers and special characters.
When using special characters, please remember that they depend on the
country version of the keyboard being used.
If you cha
nge th e Password Severity setting from Strong to String ent in the Security
BIOS Setu
p Utility menu, the Fujitsu Service Desk can no longer reset the password.
In this ca
se, the system can remain permanently unusa ble.

e setting Password Severity = Strong.
