Sierra Wireless, Inc. could void compliance with regulatory rules, and
thereby your authority to use this equipment.
The design of the WWAN module complies with U.S. Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) and Industry Canada (IC) guidelines respecting safety levels of radio frequency (RF)
exposure for portable devices, which in turn are consistent with the following safety standards
previously set by Ca nadian, U.S. and international standards bodies:

The WWAN module has bee n evaluated for compliance with FCC/IC RF exposure
limits in this laptop conguration. This WWAN module must not be c o-loca ted
or operated in conjunction with an y other antenna or transmitter other than the
transmitters that have been approved with this laptop. Use of this device in any
other conguration may exceed the FCC RF Exposure compliance limit.
FCC Radio Frequency Exposure statement
The available scientic evidence does not show that any health problems are associated with using
low pow er wireless devices. There is no proof, however, that these low power wireless devices
are absolutely s afe. Low power wireless devices emit low levels of ra dio frequency energy (RF) in
the microwave range while being used. Whereas high levels of RF can produ ce health effects (by
heating tissue), e xposure to l ow-level R F that does not p roduce heating effects causes no known
adverse hea lth effects. Many studies of low-level R F exposure have not found any b iological effects.
Some studies h ave suggested that some biological effects might occur, but such ndings have not
been conrmed by additional research. The WWAN and the WLAN radio devices have been tested
and found to comply with FCC r adiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled equipment
and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines in Supplement C to OET65.
