Connecting external devices
HDMI port (keyboard dock only)
HDMIport
The HDMI port can be used to connect an external amplifier, LCD TV or a
plasma TV with an HDMI c onn ection.
► Connect the data cable to the
external device.
► Connect the da ta cable to the HDMI port.
Some LCD televisions have only tw o loudspeaker ports and therefore
cannot reproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. To play back HDMI sound, you
must change the HDMI sound se tting s accordingly.
You can find the settings under Control Panel - Hardware and Sound. D eac tiv a te the
settings for DT S Audio and Dolby Digital to enable playback of HDMI sound.
DisplayPort (cradle only)
DisplayPort
The DisplayPort of the cradle can be used to connect a display, LCD TV or
a plasma TV with an appropriate port.
► Connect the data cable to the
external device.
► Connect the data cable to the DisplayPort
of the cradle.
Some LCD
televisions ha ve only two loudspeaker connections and therefore
cannot r
eproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. In order to repro duce the sound, you
must go i
nto Windows and adjust the sound settings.
► To do this, deactivate the DTS Audio and Dolby Digital settings in the co ntrol
panel for the Realtek HDMI Output.
