First-time setup of your device
Switching on the device for the first time
Switchingonforthefirst time
On devices with an ON/O F F butto n for radio components: Before switching the device
on, slide the ON/OFF button for radio components to the "ON" position.
Whenyouswitchonthedeviceforthefirst time, the supplied software will
be installed and configured. Because this procedure must n ot be interrupted,
you should set aside enough time for it to be fully completed a nd connect
the device to the AC supply using the AC adapter.
During installation, the device must only be rebooted when you are requested to do so.
To make it easier to use y
our device for the first time, the operating system
is pre-installed on the
hard disk.

► Press the ON/OFF button (1) for about one second to switch the device on.

The pow
er-on indicator (2) lights up whenever the system is sw itched on.
► During the installation process, follow the on-screen instructions.
