Battery management functions of the Keyboard Docking
When the Tablet PC is connected to the attachable keyboard, charging and discharging of t he
batteries of the Table t PC and of the attachable keybo ard depend on the current operating mode.

Mains adapter connected
The battery of the Tablet PC
and the attachable keyboard
are charged in parallel.
First of all, the battery of the
Tablet PC is charged, then
the ba ttery of the attac h able
keyboard.
No mains adapter connected
If it is enabled in the BIOS
Setup, the battery of the Tablet
PC is charged by the battery of
the attachable keyboard.
First of all, the battery of
the attachable keybo ard is
discharged, then the battery of
the Tablet PC.
If the battery of the Tablet PC is fully discharged, the system c annot start, even
when the battery of the attach able k eyboard shows a charge rem aining.
If the Tablet PC is connected to th e Keyboard Docking, the battery of the
Keyboard Docking will take a few seconds before it is activated.
Please note that the charging efficiency when charging the battery of the Tablet PC from
the battery of the Keyboard Docking is lower than when charging via the mains adapter.
