The status indicators of the GripBattery give inform ation on the status of the power supply.
Status displays Description
Battery charging indicator
• The indicator light is green: The mains adapter is connected and the
battery is fully charged.
• The indicator light is oran
ge: The mains adapter is connected and the
battery is being charged.
• The indicator flashes red: The battery has a charging fault.
• The indicator is not lit:
The mains adapter is not connected.
Battery indicator
The battery indicator s
hows the state of charge of the installed battery.
• The indicator light is
green: The battery charge is between 100% and
50%.
• The indicator light is orange : The battery charge is between 49 % and
13%.
• The indicator is fla
shing orange: Battery information is being checked.
• The indicator light is re d: The battery is almost empty (battery charge
less than 13%).
• The indicator is fl
ashing red: The battery has a charging error.
• The indicato r is not lit: The Tablet PC is switched off or in Save-to-Disk
mode.
Battery management functions of the GripBattery
When the Tabl
et PC is connected to the GripBattery, the charging an d discharging of the battery
of the Tablet
PC and the GripBattery are dependent on the current operating mode.

When the battery of the Ta blet PC is empty, the system cannot start, even
if th e battery of the GripBattery has residual capacity.
If the Tablet PC is connected to the Gr ipBattery, the battery of the GripBattery
will take a few seconds before it is activated.
