Connecting external devices
Connecting external devices
Under all circumstances, please observe the safety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Page 15 chapter before connecting or disconn ecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC.
Always read the documentation supplied with the device you wish to connect.
Never connect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. Always grasp the plug.
With some devices, such as USB devices, it is not necessary to switch off
the Tablet PC and the device before connecting/disconnecting. F or more
information about wh ether or not devices need to be switched off, please refer
to the documentation supplied w ith your external device.
Some of the external devices require special drivers (see the operating
system and external device do cumentation).
Connecting an external monitor
Micro HDMI port
HDMIport
The micro HDMI port on your device can be used to co nnect an external amplifier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDM I connection.
► Connect the data cable to the
external device.
► Connect t he data cable to the micro
HDMI port.
Some LCD televisions have only two speakers/speaker ports and t herefore
cannot reproduce D olby Digital or DTS. To play back HDMI sound, you
must change the HDMI sound settings accordingly.
You can find the settings under Control Panel - Hardware and Sound. Deactivate th e
settings for DTS Audio and Dolby Digital to enable playba ck of H DMI sound.
