Troubleshooting and tips
SmartCard reader is not recognised
Cause
Troubleshooting
Chip card inserted incorrectly.
► Make sure you have inse rted your
SmartCard into the SmartCard reader with
the chip facing upwards.
► Check w hether the S martCard you are using
is supported. Your SmartCard m ust comply
with the ISO standard 7816-1, -2, -3 and -4.

User and/or supervisor SmartCard lost

User and/or supervisor SmartCard lost ► If you have lost y our Use r SmartCard, you
can continue working with the Supervisor
SmartCard and initialise a new User
SmartCard or deactivate the SystemLock
function.
► If you have lost the Supervisor SmartCard,
you can continue working, but you no longer
have all your rights an d can no longer
initialise a Supervisor SmartCard.
► If you have lost both S martCa rds, you can
no longer boot your system. Please contact
our Service Desk. You must provide pro of of
ownership for the device. Then the Se rvice
Deskwillreferyoutoourservicepartner,
who will unlock your device (for a charge).
