Connecting external devices
Connecting external devices
Under all circumstances, please observe the safety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Page 12 chapter before connecting or disconnecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC.
Always read the documentation s upplied with the device you wish to connect.
Never c onnect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. Always gra sp the plug.
Adhere to the order described below when you connect external devices
to the Tablet PC or separate the m from it:
With some devices, such as USB devices, it is not necessary to switch off
the Tablet PC and the device before conne cting/disconnecting. For m ore
information about whether or not devices need to be switched off, please refer
to the documentation supplied with the external device.
Some of th e external devices requ ire special drivers (see the operating
system and external device documentation).
Connecting d evices to the Tablet PC (or to th e Cradle).
1. Switch off the Tab let PC and all external devices.
2. Remove the mai
ns plug for the Tablet PC and all relevant devices from the sockets.
3. Connect the cables for your external device s following the instructions.
4. Plug all powe
r cables into the mains sockets.
