Troubleshooting and tips
Error message/cause Resolution
CMOS battery bad
If the error message occurs repeatedly, the
buffer battery in the Tablet PC is flat.
► Contact your sales outlet or our
customer
service centre.
System CMOS checksum bad - default configuration
used
The system configuration information is
incorrect.
► Switch off the Tablet PC.
► Switch on the Tablet PC.
► Keep the "Change screen or
ientation" tablet
button pressed and switc
h on the Tablet PC.
► In the BIOS Setup, select the Exit menu.
► Select the entry Load Se
tup Defaults.
► Select OK and press the Enter key.
Extended memory failed at offset: xxxx Failing Bits:
zzzz zzzz
When testing the extended memory an error h as
resulted at the address xxxx.
► Contact your sales outlet or our customer
service centre.
Failure Fixed Disk n
The settings of the hard disk drive are incorrect.
► Start the BIOS Setup (Primary Master
submenu) and select the correct settings.
Keyboard controller error
► Switch off your Tablet PC with the ON/OFF
switch.
► Wait 3 - 5 seconds and switch on the Tablet
PC again.
Keyboard error
If you a re using an external keyboard:
► Check the connection and reboot the Tablet
PC.

► Make sure that no key is pressed.
Operating system not found
► Check in th
e BIOS Setup w hether your hard

► Make sure that the operating system is
installed on the corresponding drive.
Press <F1> to resume, <F2> to SETUP
This error message appears if an error occurs
during the s elf-test before starting the operating
system.
► Press the " Alt "key on the Tablet PC to boot
the operating system
► Keep the "Change screen orientation"tablet
button pressed and switch on the Tablet PC
to access the BIOS setup.
