Working with the Tablet PC
Setting up W LAN access
• Requirement: A WLAN must be available and you must have the
corresponding access information.
Information on configuring the WLAN access can be found in the
documentation for your opera ting syste m.
Access via UMTS
If you ordered an integrated UMTS module w ith your system, you can enjoy op timum
reception and maximum energy efficiency without awkward cables or antennas. The
optional UMTS module is r eady for use straight away.
If you did not order a UMTS m odu le, you can purchase the accessories for UMTS reception
from your retailer or your F ujitsu Te chnology Solutions dealer.
You w ill find information on establishing the connection with the UMTS network
in the documen tation for the hardware used.
You can connect your device with the Internet via UMTS. To do this, use one
of the following types of con nect ion:
• a USB dongle (a U SB stick with your mobile phone provider’s SIM card)
• mobile end-device (e.g. mobile phone with Blueto oth or cable connection)

Whether or not your device has this function depends on the
selected device e xpa nsion stage.
If your device is equipped with an integrated GPS module, you can use your device as a
navigation s ystem with the help of a c orresponding software programme.
