Connecting e xternal devices
Connecting external devices
Under all circumstances, please obse rve the safety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Page 13 chapter before connecting or disconnecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC.
Always read the documentation supp lied with the device you wish to connect.
Never connect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. Always grasp the plug.
With some devices, such as USB devices, it is not necessary to switch off
the Tablet PC and the device before co nnecting/disconnecting. For m ore
information about whether or not devices need to be switched off, please r efer
to the documentation supplied w ith your external device.
Some of the external devices re quire special drivers (see the operating
system and external device docume ntation).
Connecting an external monitor
VGA monitor port (cradle only)
An analog monitor is connected to the analog external monitor port (VGA). Display output
is limited to a maximum of two external scre ens at the same time.

Switch off the Tablet PC and the
external monitor.
Plug the data c able of the external
monitor into the monitor port.
First switch on the external monitor and
then switch on the Tablet PC.
You c an also switch back and forth between the external monitor and the LCD
screen of the Tablet PC, see "
Touchscreen", Page 24.
You c an display the sa me image on the external monitor and on the LCD
screen of the Tablet PC at the same time.
