Error message/cause Troubleshooting
CMOS Battery Bad
If the error message occurs repeate dly, the
buffer battery in the Tablet PC is flat.
► C ontact your sales outlet or our
customer
service center.
System CMOS checksum bad - Default configuration
used
The system confi gurat ion info rmation is
incorrect.
► Sw itch the Tablet PC off.
► Sw itch the Tablet PC on.
► Ke ep the volume button and
the shortcut
button pressed and switc
h the Tablet PC
on. If you keep the volume
button p ressed
during th e boot process,
you can switch into
the BIOS Setup-
► In the BI OS Setup, select the Exit menu.
► Se lect the entry Load S
etup Defaults.
► Select OK and press the Enter key.
Extended memory failed at offset: xxxx Failin g Bits:
zzzz zzzz
When testing the exte nded memory. an error
has resulted at the address xxxx.
► C ontact your sales outlet or our customer
service center.
Failure Fix ed Disk n
The s ettings of the hard disk drive are incorrect.
► Start the BIOS Se tup (Primary Master
submenu) and select the correct settings.
Keyboard controller error
► Sw itch yo ur Ta blet PC off with the ON/O FF
button.
► Wait 3 - 5 seconds and switch the Tablet P C
on again.
Keyboard error
If you use an external keyboard:
► C heck the connection and reboot the Tablet
PC.
nn Stuck key
► M ake sure that no key is pressed.
Operating system not found
► C heck in
the BIOS Setup whether your hard
disk has
been set correctly.
► Make sure that th e operating system is
installed on the corresponding drive.
Press <F1> to resume, <F2> to SETUP
This erro r message appears if an error occurs
during the self-test before starting the operating
system.
► Press the
Alt
tablet button to boot the
operating system
