The Fujitsu PRIMERGY SX980 Storage Blade Disk is a SAS 2.0 storage solution that helps customers easily transition from
direct attached to centralized storage. This storage blade is connected via midplane to a SAS Connection Blade (CB), holds up to
10 hot-plug SAS hard disks or SAS SSDs, and may be made accessible by any PRIMERGY BX Server Blade installed in the
same enclosure. With currently available HDDs, the internal storage capacity may be extended to up to 27 TB (3x SX980) in
PRIMERGY BX400 systems, and to up to 54 TB (6x SX980) in the PRIMERGY BX900 chassis. The storage blade can be
inserted, like a server blade, in the front of the lade server housing. It is hot-pluggable and shares the power and cooling
infrastructure.
