Windows Server 2012 Datacenter / Standard Windows Server 2012 Essentials
Windows Server 2012 Datacenter is the ideal edition for customers
with highly virtualized private and hybrid cloud environments. It
provides a virtualization flatrate thanks to the unlimited virtual use
rights. One Windows Server 2012 Datacenter license grants the
rights to run on up to 2 processors. Additional licenses may be added
for servers with more than 2 processors.
Windows Server 2012 Standard offers customers with physical com-
puting or lightly virtualized environments a flexible and reliable
solution. With the release of Windows Server 2012 Standard the
customer benefits from an additional virtual instance for a total of
now two instances. One Windows Server 2012 Standard license
grants the rights to run on up to 2 processors. Additional licenses
may be added for more than 2 virtual instances (as well as for more
than 2 processors).

50 devices, Windows® Server 2012 Essentials provides an affordable
and easy-to-use solution to protect critical business data with ad-
vanced, automated backup features for clients and the server. It
helps to organize and access business documents from virtually
anywhere with centralized storage and remote access. Furthermore,
it supports the applications small business customers need to run
their business and allows to quickly connect to optional online ser-
vices to increase the server’s functionalities.
Windows® Server 2012 Essentials is the successor product to the
released Windows® Small Business Server Essentials 2011.
