8.1.1.2 Adding a second hot-plug power supply unit
A second hot-plug power supply unit can be added to ensure a redundant power
supply. If one power supply unit fails, the second power supply unit ensures that
operation continues unimpaired.
The slot for the second hot-plug power supply unit contains a dummy module,
which must be removed before installing the second power supply unit.

Ê Push the green catch in the direction of the arrow (1) , push the dummy
module upwards (2) and unhook it at the bottom.
V CAUTION!
Store the dummy module in a safe place. If the power supply unit is
removed and not replaced with a new unit, then the dummy module
must be reinstalled due to cooling, the applicable EMC regulations
(regulations on electromagnetic compatibility) and fire protection.
Ê Insert the second power supply unit into the free slot (see section "Replacing
the hot-plug power supply unit" on page 90) and connect it to the mains (see
section "Connecting the server to the mains" on page 56).
