8.2.2 Replacing the system fan
V CAUTION!
Since the system fans are not redundant, defective system fans have to
be replaced immediately.

Ê Press on the green lock bar of the system fan in direction of the arrow (1)
and remove the system fan (2).
Ê Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector FAN1 SYS on the
system board (3).
Ê Connect the fan cable of the new system fan to the connector FAN1 SYS on
the system board.
Ê Insert the new system fan. The proper system fan position can best be
judged from outside at the back of the server. When doing so, make sure the
system fan lock bar engages properly.
