Cannot Connect the Scanner and a Computer via a USB Cable
Check the following points
● Did you select [Automatic] for the USB setting for the scanner? (page 188)
If the problem persists, check the items in Before You Contact the Scanner Service Provider (page 216)
first, then contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this product. Or, make an inquiry by
referring to the contact information at the Contact for Inquiries section in Safety Precautions bundled with
this product.
● Did you select [Automatic] for the USB setting for the scanner?
Solution
If you select [Automatic] for the USB setting for the scanner, the connection between the scanner and a
computer may not be able to be established.
Change the USB setting for the scanner to [USB 2.0] in the following procedure:
1 On the touch screen, press → [Scanner Settings] → [USB].
2 Select [USB 2.0].
