Remove the unit carefully so as to not damage any cables.

Place the removed crossbar backplane unit on a grounded antistatic ESD mat.

Loosen the five screws securing the crossbar backplane unit and then pull
the crossbar backplane unit straight out by holding the center handle (A in
the figure).
