Connecting external devices
USB port with charging function (USB Type-C)
USBportwithchargingfunction(USBType-C)
This USB port allows you to operate and charge the notebook using the optional
dock (see "
Connect the notebook to the dock", Page 40).
You c an also charge a connected USB device or operate devices without an additional power supply.
This is also possible with the notebook switched off, if the U SB Type-C Power Delivery
on System-Off function is activated in the Advanced - M iscellaneous Configurations menu
of the BIOS Setup Utility. Calling up and using the B IOS S etu p Utility is described
in section "
Settings in BIOS Setup Utility", P age 55.
USB devices are ho t-pluggable. This means you c an connect and disconnect the
cables of USB devices while the operating system is running.
