PRIMEQUEST 580A offers flexible and scalable configuration capabilities for up to 32 Dual-Core processors and belonging I/O resources in a
space-saving system cabinet. Automatic reconfiguration and flexible partitioning with up to 16 fail-safe, hardware isolated partitions using
eXtended PARtitioning (XPAR) provide optimum resource usage with multiple OS instances.
The advanced system architecture incorporates two innovative key technologies that provide highest availability in a single system:
Mirror Mode and Flexible I/O (FIO).
With Mirror Mode, crossbar interconnects and memory modules can operate in duplex mode to isolate faults without causing a system halt, i.e.
not influencing the IT production. FIO allows on demand reallocation of I/O resources to specific processing resources, which enables I/O to
