To extend the internal storage capacity of a PRIMERGY BX620 S4 Dual Socket Server Blade, the PRIMERGY SX650 Storage Blade can be
used.
With this product the internal storage capacity of a BX620 S4 can be extended by up to 730 Gbyte. The Storage Blade SX650 occ upies one
additional Server Blade slot within the PRIMERGY BX600 S3 System Unit, positioned at the right side of an adjacent BX620 S4 S erver Blade.
The 5 hard disk drives of the SX650 are driven by a high functional SAS/RAID controller with 512 Mbyte cache and BBU. This co ntroller (HBA)
installed in the BX620 S4 provides the RAID levels 0, 1, 5 and 6. The connection to the SX650 is realized via one correspondi ng SAS cable
which is dedicated for this configuration pair.
