Getting started
Connecting external devices
Read the documentation on the external device before connecting it.
With the exception of USB de vices, always remove all power plugs
before connecting external devices!
Do not connect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Always take hold of the actual plug. Never unplug a cab le by pulling the cable itself.
Connect and disconnect the cables in the orde r described below.
Connecting the cables
► Turn off all power and equipment switches.

► Remove all power plugs from th e groun ded mains outlets.
► Connect all the cables to the device and the external d evices. Please make sure that you
always observe the safety notes provided in "
Important notes", Page 7.
► Plug all data commu nication cables into the a ppropriate sockets.
► Plug all power cables into the grounded mains outlets.
USB d evices are hot-pluggable. This means you can connect and disconnect
USB c ables while your device is switche d on.

► Disconnect all of the cables from the device and from the external devices.
