Installing and removing drives
The casing can accommodate a total of two drives:
one accessible slim drive (one 5 1/4 inch drive)
one 3 ½-inch hard disk
"Accessible drives" are e.g. DVD or CD ROM drives, into which a data medium can be
inserted from the outside. Non-access ible drives are e.g. hard disk drives.

Do n ot throw away the covers. If you remove the drive again later, you w ill need to tthe
covers again (cooling, re protection or EMC re gulations which need to be complied with).
If you wish to install an accessible drive in an empty bay, you must rst remove the plastic drive cover.
Open the casing (see "
Opening the casin g", Page 29).
Lay the casing c over within easy reach on a non-slip surface.
G ently press the latches of the relevant
plastic drive co vers forwards and, working
from the outside, pull the plastic drive
covers out of the front cover.
