Troubleshooting and tips
The ON/OFF button does not respond properly

Troubleshooting
The system may be proce ssing. Wait until the system has completed
processing.
You have not pressed the ON/OFF button long
enough to switch off the notebook.
Press the ON/OFF button until the notebook
switches off.
The Standby function has been deactivated in
the BIOS Setup.
While the system is b ooting, press the
function key
F2
, to access the BIOS Setup.
Activate the Standby function in the Power
menu
The wireless connection to a network does not work

and in the "Wireless LAN" manual. The "Wireless LAN" m an ual can be
found on the "Drivers & Utilities" CD/DVD.
You can nd more information on how to use Bluetooth on the CD you
received with your Bluetooth software.
Cause
Troubleshooting
The ON/OFF switch for the wireless
LAN/Bluetooth module is in the "OF F" position.
Switch your radio component on (refer to
the section entitled "Sw itching the radio
components on and off" in the EasyGuide).
The ON/OFF switch for the wireless
LAN/Bluetooth module i s in the "ON" position.
Despite this, the wireless connection to a
network cannot be established.
Check w het her the radio connection is
switched on via the software.
Check if the modules in BIOS are activated.
The mouse does not work

Troubleshooting
Mouse driver is not loaded
Check whether the correct mouse driver is
properly installed and is present before the
application programme is started.
Detailed information can be found in the
User guides for the mouse or application
programme.
Mouse is not connected
Switch the notebook off.
Check w he ther the mouse cable is correctly
connected to the notebook.
If you use an adapter or extension lead with
the mouse cable, check the connections.
Switch the notebook on.
