An ExpressCard slot enables operation of an ExpressCard/34 or ExpressCard/54.
A PC card slot ena bles the notebook to operate one type I or type II PC card.
Please read the documentation on the PC card and/or on the ExpressCard
and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

which you must remove before using t
he slots.
Keep the placeholder in a safe place

ExpressCard y ou should also refitth
e placeholder in the empty slot. This
prevents foreign matter from gett
ing into the slot.

You should also read the help files on the supplied CD, the information provided
with the drivers for the card, or the information provided with the operating system
(e. g. Help and Support Center in Windows XP).
PCcard:Expres sCard:
Depending on the model, your notebook has a PC card and ExpressCard eject button. You
can push the card slot eject button into the no tebook casing. Press the eject button until
it snaps in. This prevents the card from being ejected accidentally.
