Error messages on the screen
This section describes the error messages generated by the BIOS Setup Utility. Error messages
displayed by the operating system or programmes are described in the relevant manuals.
CMOS Battery Bad
If the error message occurs repeatedly, then the buffer battery in the notebook is flat.
Ê Connect the notebook via its power adapter to the mains outlet. The buffer battery will take
approximately two days to complete its recharge.
If the error message appears repeatedly, please contact the place of purchase or our
hotline/help desk.
System CMOS checksum bad - Default configuration used
The system configuration information is incorrect.
Ê Switch the notebook off.
Ê Switch the notebook on.
Ê Enter the BIOS Setup Utility programme by pressing [F2].
Ê Select the Default Settings to restore the default settings.
Ê Press the Enter key.
Ê Confirm the question Load high performance settings? with Yes.
Ê Press the Enter key.

Keyboard controller error
Ê Switch the notebook off with the ON/OFF switch.
Ê Wait 3 - 5 seconds and switch on the notebook again.

Keyboard error
If you use an external keyboard:
Ê Check the connection and reboot the notebook.

nn Stuck key
Ê Make sure that no key is pressed.
