Connecting external devices

Connecting an external device to S-Video Out
You can connect an external device (e.g. a television set) to the S-Video Out socket (see chapter
"Notebook views", Number 18) of your notebook.
Ê Switch off the notebook and the external device.
Ê Connect the external device to the S-Video Out socket of your notebook.
Ê First switch the external device on and then the notebook.
Activating television set
Ê Select the monitor type in the menu Start - Control Panel - Appearance and Themes - Display -
Settings - Advanced - Displays.
Ê Click on Apply.
With the key combination [Fn] + [F4] you can switch between the television set and the LCD screen
of the notebook.
Connecting an external device to IEEE1394 (FireWire)
Peripheral devices such as digital audio/video devices or other high-speed devices can be
connected via IEEE1394 (FireWire). Your notebook is equipped with a IEEE 1394 FireWire port,
which operates at 400 Mbit per second.
Ê Connect the peripheral device to the IEEE1394 FireWire port (see chapter "Notebook views",
Number 15) of your notebook.
