Cable Removal
In this section:
8.1.1 Disconnect Pow er

The following procedures describe how to disconnect cables from the RU.
8.1.1
Disconnect Power
This procedure describes how to remove power from the RU.
Prerequisites:
■ V10 Torx screw driver
■ Digit al M ultimeter
Danger: Use properly insulat ed tools and perform all safety precautions in accordance wit h local safety
practices when working on or around power terminals, power cables, and pow er connectors. Cont acting
power terminals, uninsulat ed conductors, cable wiring, or any connector that could be part of a live
electrical circuit can result in deat h or serious personal injury.
Step 1
Disconnect pow er at breaker.
Step 2
Verify that no LEDs are on.
Step 3
Inst all the LED cover.
Step 4
Locate –48V DC power cable connection on the bot tom of the RU.
Step 5
Loosen the cable connection by rotat ing the cable-counter clockwise.
Step 6
Remove the cable from the –48V DC port on the RU and the pow er source.
