ZTP Overview
Zero Touch Provisioning ( ZTP) allows remot e configuration of a device, wit h litt le to no pre-defined informat ion
in the Radio Unit (RU).
The sequence is out lined as follows:
1. The RU is pow ered on.
2. The DU is selected based on policy.
3. The RU locates the EM S.
4. The EM S validates the RU.
5. The RU is configured.
6. The RU sends a notification to the EM S to push configuration for CU-CP, CU-UP, and DU CNF.
7. The EM S pushes the cell configuration for CU-CP, CU-UP, and DU CNFs.
8. The DU initiat es eCPRI and M -Plane connections.
9. The EM S unlocks t he cell. Aut omatic and manual processes allow cell site operations to be adjusted in
cooperat ion with the neighboring cells and users.
