Prerequisites:
■ RU mounted and not powered up
■ Available 10G opt ical cable
Danger: Use properly insulated tools and perform all safety precautions in accordance wit h local safety
practices when working on or around power terminals, power cables, and pow er connectors. Cont acting
power terminals, uninsulat ed conductors, cable wiring, or any connector that could be part of a live
electrical circuit can result in deat h or serious personal injury.
Step 1
Remove the prot ective covers from bot h mating connectors.
Step 2
Remove the fiber caps from the opt ical cables.
Step 3
Pull back on the fiber enclosure unt il the cylindrical cable container is completely visible.
Step 4
Insert the optical cables int o the SFP that is pre-posit ioned in the connector of the RU.
Step 5
Ensure the locking latches of th LC fiber connectors are snapped int o position.
Step 6
Align the connector key on connect or to the connector on the RU and insert the connector.
Step 7
Turn the enclosure sub-assembly clockw ise until it clicks int o place.
Step 8
M at e the two prot ective covers toget her to keep the covers intact and clean.

Connect AISG Cables
This procedure describes how to connect AISG cables to the RU.
Prerequisites:
■ RU mounted and not powered up
■ Available AISG cables
