During the warranty period
●
Your FOMA terminal will be repaired without charge in accordance
with the terms of the warranty.
●
When bringing your FOMA terminal in for repair, be sure to bring the
warranty card. Even during the warranty period, a fee will be charged
for repairs of malfunctions or damage caused by your improper
handling (damage of LCD and connector), or when no warranty card
is pre
sented.
Repairs for damages caused by the use of devices and accessories
other than those specified by DOCOMO will also incur a fee even
during the warranty period.

Repairs may not be possible in the following
circumstances.
●
When a repair shop has judged that your FOMA terminal has been
exposed to water (e.g. when the water detection sticker has reacted)
●
As a result of inspection, when damage from water exposure,
condensation, sweat, or other liquids are found, or when the internal
circuit board is damaged or deformed (Repairs may not be possible
when the external connector terminal, stereo earphone terminal, LCD,
etc. are damaged, or when the housing is cracked.)
* Even when repairs are possible, repair charges will be incurred
because the warranty does not cover such damage.

After the warranty period has expired
Charged repairs will be carried out upon request.
■
Replacement parts
Performance parts for repair of your FOMA terminal (parts required to
maintain the functionality of your FOMA terminal) will be kept in stock
basically for six years following discontinuation of production. Note,
however, that there may be cases when repair is not possible due to
shortage of replacemen
t parts depending on the faulty part. Repairs
may be possible even after this period has passed, depending on the
faulty part. Contact the "docomo Information Center" on the last page of
this manual.
IMPORTANT!
●
Never attempt to modify your FOMA terminal or its accessories.
・
Doing so might cause fire, bodily harm or malfunction.
・
If your FOMA terminal has been modified, it will only be accepted for
repair as long as you agree that we restore it to its original state.
Note, however, that repairs may be refused depending on the extent
of the modification.
The following cases may be considered as
modifications:
・
Stickers, etc. are applied to the LCD or keys.
・
Decorations are stuck to your FOMA terminal with adhesive.
・
Exterior parts are replaced with non-authentic DOCOMO parts.
・
Repairs for any malfunction or damage caused by such
modifications will incur fees, even during the warranty period.

Do not peel off the nameplate sticker attached to your FOMA terminal.
If the content of this nameplate sticker cannot be verified due to it
being intentionally peeled of
f or replaced invalidating its function as a
certification, repairs may be refused because conformity to technical
standards cannot be determined.
●
Information stored on your FOMA terminal, such as the settings of
various functions, may be cleared or reset if your FOMA terminal is
damaged, repaired or mishandled. If this occurs
, please re-enter the
information or re-specify the settings.
●
On FOMA terminals returned for repair, the MAC address for Wi-Fi
and the Bluetooth address may be changed regardless of the faulty
part.
●
The following sections of your FOMA terminal contain parts that
generate magnetic waves. Keep ATM cards and other objects likely to
be affected by magnetic waves away from your FOMA terminal.

Although your FOMA terminal has waterproof properties, if the inside
of your FOMA terminal becomes wet or moist, immediately turn it
OFF, remove the battery pack and take it to a repair shop. Not,
however, that your FOMA terminal may not be repaired depending on
its condition.

Memory dial (Contacts function) and downloaded
information
Created, imported or downloaded data may be altered or lost when your
model is changed or your FOMA terminal repaired. DOCOMO is not
liable for alteration and loss of this data. Also, DOCOMO may, at its
convenience, exchange your FOMA terminal for a substitute in lieu of
repairs. However, in that case, DOCOMO cannot transfer this data to
th
e replacement product except for some data.
Software update
Software update
Connect the T-01C to the network to check if a software update is
necessary. If it is, download the software using packet communications
to update the software.
Check the DOCOMO home page to see if software updates are
necessary.
There are three software update modes "Auto-update", "Now update"
and "Reserve update".
Auto-update: New software can be downloaded automatic
ally and
rewritten at a preset time.
Now update:
Software is updated immediately.
Reserve update:
Software is updated automatically at the preset time if
you reserve the time to install update packages.
Note
●
You can update software even if your FOMA terminal contains
contacts, camera images or downloaded data. However, data that
could be lost due to the state of the T-01C (malfunction, damage,
water
exposure, etc.) and so on cannot be protected. It is
recommended that important data be backed up before software
updates. Note, however
, that some data such as downloaded data
cannot be backed up.
