Convenient Functions
Buying applications
Buy charged applications before downloading them. These applications
can be used on a trial basis for 24 hours. If you do not request a refund
within 24 hours of purchase, your credit card will be charged.

Payments for applications are once only. Charges are not incurred for
uninstalling or redownloading an application once it has been
downloaded.

In the Android Market screen, search for the
application and tap the application you want to buy

Tap "Buy"

If the application must access the data or functions of your FOMA
terminal, a screen prompting which functions will be used by that
application will be displayed.
Be careful about installing applications that access many functions
or a significant amount of data. Once you select "OK" in this
screen, you are responsibl
e for the consequences of using this
application on your FOMA
terminal. To agree to the terms of use
of this application, tap "OK".

When buying for the first time, log into the Google
Checkout payment and billing service

If you do not have a Google Checkout account, fill in the form.
Google Checkout is a fast, secure and useful way to buy
applications from your FOMA terminal. For details about G

Set screen lock to ensure the security of your FOMA terminal (P. 64)
since the Google Checkout PIN is stored on your FOMA terminal.

When multiple credit card accounts are used for
your Google Checkout account, select one of the
accounts

Select the "Refund Policy", "Google Checkout
Billing and Privacy Policy", read these documents,
and press

After you have agreed with the Google Checkout
service conditions, tap "Buy now" at the bottom of
the screen
When installation is completed, is displayed on the status bar.

Requesting a refund
You can request a refund within 24 hours of the purchase of the
application if you are not satisfied with it. The application is deleted, and
you are not charged. In addition, note that you can request a refund
only once for each application. If you requested a refund for a
purchased application in the past and purchase the sample application
ag
ain, a second refund request will not be available.
Deleting applications

Select the application you want to delete

"Uninstall"

When "Uninstall & refund" is not displayed for charged
applications, this means that the free trial period has ended.

Select the answer in the survey form that best fits
the reason, and tap "OK"

Using docomo market
In docomo market, you can easily access DOCOMO recommended
sites and handy applications.

The browser is activated, and "DOCOMO MARKET" is displayed.

To use docomo market, packet communication (3G/GPRS) or a
Wi-Fi Internet connection is required.

Packet communication charges are incurred separately for
connecting to docomo market and downloading applications
introduced in docomo market. Also, packet communications is
sometimes performed automatically with some d
ownloaded
applications.

Some of the applications introduced on docomo market are
charged.

DOCOMO is not liable for any damages caused by sites introduced
on docomo market or for information acquired from these sites.

DOCOMO is not liable for contents, conformance with purpose of
use and reliability of applications introduced on docomo market.

Some applications that you install may cause your FOMA terminal
to run unstably, or may send your location information or personal
information registered on your FOMA terminal to outside via the
Internet and the information may be used improperly. For this
reason, thoroughly check the provider and the running status of
the application, etc. before using it.

Displaying Office documents or PDF
files
You can open Office documents (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and
PDF files, or check folders on microSD cards.
You can open the following files:

Tap "Folders" or "Supported files" to open the
folder, or select the file type

The view screen is displayed.

Pan the screen to display the part you want to view (P. 29).

Zoom in or out by pinching out or in (P. 30).

Icon tools are displayed by tapping the screen, and the following
operations are possible:

: Displays the zoom control
: Specifies the display range
: Goes back to the file list
