Convenient Functions
Acquiring route directions

In the map display,
M→
"Directions"

Enter the start point in the input field above and the
end point in the input field below

You can also specify the address of a contact and location on the
map by tapping
at the right of the input field.

Select how you will be moving (automobile, public
transport, on foot), and tap "Go"
: Automobile
: Public transport
: On foot

When multiple routes are found by searching by public transport,
tap the preferred route.

Tap "Show on map"

Check the route on the map
●
Tap the arrows displayed at the bottom of the map to proceed to
points along the route.

Checking a friend's current location by Google
Latitude
You can check where a friend is on the map by using Google Latitude.
●
To use Google Latitude, you must set a Google account on your
FOMA terminal. If a Google account is not yet set, follow the on-
screen instructions that are displayed when Google Latitude is
activated for the first time.
●
Location information is not automatically shared. You need to join
Google Latitude and invite a friend to provide their own location
information, or you must receive an invitation from that friend.
Joining Google Latitude

In the map display,

"Join Latitude"

When joining this service for the first time, read Google's privacy
policy, and tap "Allow & Share".

Inviting a friend to share location information

"Select from Contacts"/"Add
via email address"

Select the checkbox of the target contact, or enter
the mail address

Tap "Add friends"

Select the checkbox of the other party to send the
share request to, and tap "Yes"
Accepting an invitation
When you have joined Google Latitude, you can accept invitations to
share location information by the following procedure.

"Latitude"

Tap "X new sharing request"

If you have multiple requests, select the desired request.

Accept and

You can both view each other's location
information.
Accept, but hide
my location
Though you can view your friend's location information,
your friend cannot view your location information.
Don't accept Your location information will not be shared.

Share requests can also be sent as emails (in English).
Checking your friends' current locations
Your friends' current locations are displayed when you open a map.
Your friends are all indicated by a photo icon, and an arrow shows their
approximate locations. If your friends have selected sharing of location
information at the city level, your friends' icon will not have an arrow
but
the icon will appear in the center of the city
.
Managing connections with friends and shared
information
Either tap the photo icon of a friend on the map and tap the call-out, or
tap a friend in the Google Latitude friends list to open the friend's profile.
The following operations are possible in the profile screen.

Setting the share level of your current
location. If "Share only city level
location" is selected, your photo icon
will be displayed at the center of the
city on your friend's mobile phone.

Managing privacy
You can set how you look to all friends.

Detect your
location
When you move, Google latitude automatically
detects your location and refreshes the location
information. The refresh interval is determined
based on several factors, such as the charging
level of the battery pack or when you moved.
Set your location You can set the current location to disclose to
friends to a specific place.
Hide your
location
Your location information is not dis
closed to any of
your friends.
Turn off Latitude Suspends Google Latitude and sharing of location
information. You can join Google latitude at any
time.
Using Places
You can quickly search for facilities, stores, etc. in the vicinity of your
current location.

Tap the facility or store you want to search

You can add facilities or stores (museums, bookstores, etc.) not in
the list by tapping "Add".

Tap the target location from the search result list to
open detailed information and options
