Shooting settings menu for still pictures
The following settings can be made by pressing
M
in the still picture
viewfinder screen.

Items that cannot be selected in specific combinations are displayed
in gray.
Setting Item Description
Focus
Auto The focus frame moves to the tapped position, and is
then focused.
Face A person's face is automatically detected, and is then
focused.
Object
Tracking
The focus frame moves tracking the movement of the
subject that you selected by tapping, and is then
focused.
Micro Subjects at close distance are focused. Keep the distance
between the lens and the subject to about 10 cm or more.
Shutter
Auto
Regular shutter mode
Smile Shot Smiling faces are detected, and the shutter is
automatically shut.
Self Timer The shutter shuts automatically after the preset time
elapses. This allows photos of yourself or group photos
with lots of people in them to be taken without the need
to actually hold your FOMA terminal. This feature can
also be used to prevent camera shake during shooting.

Standard shooting mode
Perfect
Portrait
Reproduces complexion faithfully in the photo.
Burst Up to seven still pictures can be taken continuously
while the shutter button is held (tapped) down.
Frame Shot Takes photos with the frame of your choice around
them.
Panorama After pressing (tapping) the shutter button, move the
camera in the horizontal or vertical direction to take a
panorama shot
so that green and white panorama
frames are overlapping.

Flash Switches the flash between Auto, On and Off.
Picture Size Specifies the resolution (image size).

Balance
Adjusts coloring to match the surrounding light source.
Photo
Quality
Specifies the photo quality. Setting a higher photo
quality results in a larger image file size.
View Finder Sets whether to take shots in landscape/portrait mode,
or whether to automatic

Auto Fix Automatically performs digital correction on the still
